Meet Our Staff

Dr. Kern joined Gahanna Pediatrics in 1999. He attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine and received his degree in 1982. He completed a 3-year residency in Pediatrics in 1985 and a 2-year fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in 1987, both at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. From 1987 to 1999 he was on the faculty of OSU College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. During this time he took care of children with developmental disabilities, intellectual disability, and autism, as well as those with sleep disorders and those suspected of being physically or sexually abused. Dr. Kern continues to be interested in these problems in his current work as a primary care pediatrician. In his spare time Dr. Kern likes reading, wine-tasting, and cooking, as well as attending movies, plays, art exhibits, and concerts of all kinds. He has a son and a daughter.
